THE SANCTUARY ROUTE (I), OUR LADY OF PINÓS

Nature trail, to enjoy on mountain bike or by foot, which aims to recover the history surrounding the old routes that lead to the areas of Riner and Pinós in search of the two great Marian sanctuaries of central Catalonia: Nostra Senyora de Pinós and Mare de Déu del Miracle. The former recalls the apparition of the Virgin Mary to a farmer’s son from Cases de Matamargó in 1505. From Pinós there is a magnificent view of our country. The large farmhouses, and other places marked by history and by man’s labour found in these surroundings, are the high spots of a rugged yet gentle land, which is beautiful, irresistible and its splendour, there to be discovered.
